Criteria used for ranking and prizes distribution: 1. number of points, 2. Progressive score, 3. Buchholz, 4. average ELO of rivals, 5. lot, prizes are distributed according to Hort system between such number of players which corresponds to number of advertised prizes |
Rating: 40 moves per 2 hours and an hour for each player to finish the game |
Tournament prize fund: 45 000 CZK total |
Financial prizes in CZK (payments in DEM or USD possible): 1. prize - 10 000, 2.- 7 000, 3.- 5 000, 4.- 3 000, 5. 2 000, 6.1 000, 7.-8. 500, best woman player - 500, best young player up to 16 years of age - 500, prizes in the total value of 15 000 CZK are dedicated for the best players from Moravia and Silesia |

- tournament links up well with Pardubice CZECH OPEN and it is possible to book accommodation in the period between the tournaments |
Starting fee and accommodation payments will be collected during the registration in cash in EUR, CZK or USD. |

In 4th Year of Olomouc Chess Summer 2001 270 players from 27 countries participated, where 222 players started in open tournament, out of which 89 players (c. 40%) had ELO FIDE. |
