10. 	Event and tie-breaks :

	The lightning chess - 5 minutes games, 11 double rounds (each round consists of two games with White and Black pieces vs. the same opponent), altogether 22 games. The tournament will be played in accordance with the 1996 FIDE Rules of Play.
	In the case of equal points the tie is broken by:
-	the sum of the Buchholz median system, the highest total wins and if still tied by
	-	the sum of the Buchholz system and if still tied by
	-	the number of winning games and if still tied by
-	the sum of progressive scores
Distribution of prizes according to the number of points scored and the tiebreak system.

11. 	Prize fund and prizes :

15. 	Participation and conditions for the best players :
Participation has no grading restrictions. 

The best chess players among participants will get the conditions as follows :
ˇ	The highest rated player - entrance fee US$ 5.000; 
ˇ	The second on the tournament rating list - entrance fee US$ 4.000;
ˇ	The third on the tournament rating list - entrance fee US$ 3.000;
ˇ	The fourth on the tournament rating list - entrance fee US$ 2.000;
ˇ	The fifth on the tournament rating list - entrance fee US$ 1.000;
ˇ	All other players rated at least 2700 points as well as participants of the World Championship Final Matches and women rated at least 2550 - entrance fee US$ 1.000;

ˇ	All other players rated at least 2650 points and women rated at least 2500 - free hotel (single room, 2 nights, January 8/9 and 9/10) in the Warsaw's FORUM hotel.
Ratings according to the last official FIDE Rating List published before 8th January 2000 i.e. FRL on 1st January 2000 with published corrections until 8th January 2000.

Applications should consist of : 
ˇ	Last name and first name 
ˇ	Chess title and current rating

13. 	Entry fee :

All participants are obligated and kindly requested to pay in the PLN (the Polish Zloties), the equivalent of US$ 10, according to average rate of NBP (The Polish National Bank) in the relevant day. 
Juniors under 18 pay the equivalent of US$ 5.  
Grandmasters and members of "Polonia" Warszawa Chess Club (with valid membership) - free.

The entrance fee should be paid as follows :

Polish participants are requested to pay entrance fee until 15th December 1999.  
After this date the entrance fee will be increased of 50% without guarantee of participation.
However in such a case the entrance fee paid after 15th December 1999 will be returned.  
Foreigner participants can pay entrance fee 7th or 8th January 2000 directly at the cash-desk in "Polonia" Warszawa Chess Club, ulica Konwiktorska 6.


You can use the currencies as follows: PLN, USD, CHF, GBP, DM, FRF.
